Tino van der Sman was born in 1974 in The Hague, Netherlands. At the age of 12 he will begin his guitar studies and just 2 years later, he will travel to Spain to receive master classes with maestro Paco Pe\u00f1a during the C\u00f3rdoba Guitar Festival.<\/p>\n\n
It was in 1999 when he took up residence in Seville and obtained a study scholarship for the \u201cCristina Heeren\u201d Foundation. A year later he is already a professor at this center and begins his professional career by collaborating as a monitor in Gerardo N\u00fa\u00f1ez’s summer courses and being part of the Israel and Pastora Galv\u00e1n companies (premiering at the XI Seville Biennial with \u201cMetamorfosis\u201d along with Chicuelo, Manolo Soler, El Extreme\u00f1o or Encarnita Anillo).<\/p>\n\n
In recent years, the presentation of his disco during the Holland Biennial, in Seville at the Duque theater and at the \u201cel Chasse\u201d theater, in Breda (Holland) with his own group stands out. He also participated in the dancer Leonor Leal’s show at the Sala Joaqu\u00edn Turina in February 2009 and in the Luxembourg Flamenco Festival in 2009 and 2010. Since 2005 he has worked at the Casa de la Memoria, the prestigious tablao in Seville.<\/p>\n\n
