A project
that is born from a vision<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

At the beginning of 1999, this first cultural project was born, Casa de la Memoria, the FLAMENCO CULTURAL CENTER of Seville. After its first stage on Xim\u00e9nez de Enciso street (Barrio de Santa Cruz), this Cultural Center, Museum and Tablao Flamenco was moved at the end of 2012 to its current headquarters on Cuna street, number 6, a historic building, originally from the S .XV, which housed the old Stables of the adjacent Palace of the Countess of Lebrija.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The House
A unique space<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Rehabilitated and converted into a Cultural Center, this House-Palace preserves the magical essence of Sevillian tradition, with a flowery central patio and imposing brick and stone walls.<\/p>\n

Inside it has several rooms used as an art gallery and exhibition, where visitors can enjoy temporary exhibitions and the House’s private collection of works of art, objects and historical documents. All this, added to the numerous activities that Casa de la Memoria has been carrying out since its creation, such as book and album presentations, conferences, flamenco fashion shows, master classes on the history of flamenco, poetry recitals, guitar and music concerts. from the world, theatrical visits, and a long etcetera, which make the FLAMENCO CULTURAL CENTER of Seville, a unique and obligatory place for all foreign and local visitors<\/p>\n

Every afternoon, the magic of the flamenco duende gathers in a corner of this House-Palace. This is the Casa de la Memoria flamenco theater and tablao; an intimate space, overlooking the central patio of the building. Its widened and semicircular shape, reminiscent of the old Caf\u00e9s Cantantes, allows the public to get close to the artists and appreciate the authentic sound of the best flamenco in Seville, and probably, in the world.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

For years, Casa de la Memoria has become the most imitated Flamenco Cultural Center in the world. People from all continents try to copy this unique and inimitable model of management of the material and intangible heritage of flamenco art. And the visitor can find in Seville a wide range of flamenco for all tastes, but none like ours.<\/p>\n

At Casa de la Memoria there is no bar or restaurant service that could interfere with the enjoyment of the performance. There are no waiters asking questions and passing in front of the public, with the noise of cutlery and glasses. Children under 6 years of age are not allowed entry, because, although we love children and we can have other activities for them during the day, we understand that in a performance the audience must be attentive and not distracted, and in this case the children At such young ages they are more unpredictable and have less control over their emotions and the volume of their voice.<\/p>\n

The artists perform without microphones or amplification, being able to enjoy real and authentic sound in an atmosphere that absorbs the viewer. During the performance you can see different styles of flamenco, mixing happy styles and sad styles, as well as more varied flamenco styles.<\/p>\n

The best artists on the current flamenco scene perform at Casa de la Memoria. This cast of artists has a recognized career and prestigious national and international awards.<\/p>\n

The performance format at the Flamenco Cultural Center does not focus solely on dance, singing or guitar, nor on the most common styles of flamenco, or always represented by the same artists, but the spectator can see each day a different show, artists with unique styles and appreciate the individuality of dance (female and male), singing, guitar playing and all of them, being the most complete and representative show of flamenco art.<\/p>\n

This philosophy, always away from the most touristy shows in the city, makes Casa de la Memoria the flamenco space where the most natives, flamenco connoisseurs, and flamenco connoisseurs come and where a Sevillian recommends going to his friends and family.<\/p>\n

In addition to the pioneering FLAMENCO CULTURAL CENTRE in Seville, this family of cultural managers has promoted the creation of other important projects at a global level, such as the CASA DE SEFARAD and CASA MAZAL, in Cordoba, the CENTRO DE INTERPRETACI\u00d3N DE LA JUDER\u00cdA DE SEVILLA, or the most recent, the FLAMENCO CULTURAL CENTRE in Madrid, inaugurated in 2019, coinciding with the centenary of the arrival in Madrid of Federico Garc\u00eda Lorca, poet and playwright from Granada, whose work has a very important influence on the current flamenco tradition.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
