Raúl Cantizano (Seville 1973) Musician, flamenco guitarist, artist and improviser.
He composes for numerous shows including the award-winning “Tejidos al Tiempo” and “La Gloria de mi mare” by Choni Cía. Flamenca, “Ti-me-ta-ble” by Marco Vargas and Chloè Brulè, or “Malgama” by Varuma Teatro. And others like “Del Quivir” and “Femenino Plural” by Angeles Gabaldón, “Alejandría, la mira oblicua” by 8co80 with Juan Carlos Lérida, and “Tuetano” by Andrés Marín with Concha Vargas and Tomasa “La Macanita”.
Together with Santiago Barber, he directs bulos.net an experimental factory between flamenco and other artistic practices, from which emerges “Bulos y Tanguerías, great flamenco variety show” and “Vaconbacon, canto las Fuerzas” with Niño de Elche.
He plays in musical projects such as “ProcriptasDF”, a duo formation with percussionist Antonio Montiel and “Entenguerengue, Orquesta de Improvisadores Andaluces” among others.
Since 2000 he has played weekly at the cultural center “Casa de la memoria de Al-Andalus” alongside the best artists of the current Sevillian flamenco scene.
